How far in advance should I secure your services?
Ideally, we suggest securing our services 9-12 months in advance of your wedding date if you are interested in save the date cards, 6-12 months in advance otherwise. However, you can inquire by visiting our contact form here if we are available for your design needs.
When should I send out save the dates?
Save the dates should be mailed out 9-12 months in advance of a wedding date falling on a holiday, holiday weekend, or the summer months. If you have a large amount of out-of-town guests, we suggest you mail out your save the dates 9-12 months in advance as well. If you are using your save the dates as a way to set the theme of your wedding, 6-12 months in advance is acceptable.
When should I send out my wedding invitation?
Your wedding invitation should be mailed out 3 months in advance with an RSVP date set to at least 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding date. Your venue as well as other vendors that you work with will usually want your final head count at least one to two weeks prior to the wedding. However, please check with your venue and your day-of-coordinator for their suggested timeframe.
What is your design process?
You can find more information about our design process by visiting this page. All of our designs are custom made for you. We use no templates. If you are interested in a variation of one of our current designs, we will, of course, accommodate you unless such design has exclusive rights.
Will I receive a proof?
Yes. Typically, unless otherwise specified in your contract, we provide our couples with two rounds of digital proofs for them to review. Additional proofs can be provided at a rate of $25 per additional proof. It is very rare that more than two proofs are needed for any given project. Printing will not occur unless you have "signed off" on your proof thereby certifying both the accuracy of the content as well as the correctness of grammar and spelling.
Proofs are provided digitally. We highly recommend, and include in every one of our packages, a face-to-face meeting to review your final proofs as well as to review paper swatches.
What kind of printing do you offer?
Since we are a full-service graphic design studio, we are able to offer our couples many different printing techniques, including but not limited to: digital, offset, letterpress, foil stamping, engraving, embossing, laser cutting, etc.
What is your standard paper?
Unless otherwise specified, our quotes for digital printing are based upon 100# smooth cover stock (white). We have a variety of swatch books that we can use, but the cost of materials vary depending upon the thickness, texture, and availability of the stock. Standard for letterpress printing is thick, cotton paper.
Do you offer eco-friendly paper?
Yes, we offer tree-free alternatives and 100% PCW paper.
Do you offer pocket folds?
Yes. As of June 2012, Little Woman Design will be offering its couples the Envelopments line of pocket folds. There are many different styles that we offer. Pricing depends upon the number of components and stock selected. Upon meeting with our couples, we will be able to review the different Envelopment products available.

Do you require a contract?
Yes. We ask our couples to provide us with a signed contract as well as a deposit to hold our services.
What payment options are available?
Depending upon your timeline, payments can be broken out over the course of the contracted time. It is important to note that no printing will occur unless payments are received by the specified dates.
Payments can be made by check or money order, made out to "Little Woman Design". Payments may be made by credit card via paypal or card swipe in-person. Returned checks will carry a $35.00 fee.
Will I have to pay sales tax?
Yes, we are required to collect sales tax.
What is your return policy?
Because of the nature of customized stationery, we cannot accept returns. All proofs will be reviewed by you prior to any printing occuring.
