When we started Little Woman Design in December of 2011, two weeks after we ourselves got married, we knew that our mission was to provide an exceptional and fun experience for our couples as Francesca designed them unique wedding stationery that told their story as a couple through her designs.
We wanted the experience to be collaborative and creative one that brought Francesca's graphic design talents to the Greater Philadelphia wedding community. In the past three years, we have worked with over 75 amazing couples and clients, and our greatest happiness always comes from the smiles on our couples' faces as they pick up their wedding invitations.

To have our work further validated through the tremendous reviews we've received from our past couples is an even greater reward. Thanks to our couples, Little Woman Design and Francesca's design work, has been recognized for the third year in a row as we have won the 2015 Pick for The Knot Magazine's Best of Weddings for Invitations! It's a tremendous honor to win once, but to win three years in a row makes us overjoyed!
We thank all of our couples and clients for taking the time to right such thoughtful and wonderful reviews of Francesca's work! We look forward to working with more amazing couples this coming year, and will certainly continue to provide the experience our couples have come to expect from Little Woman Design.
Francesca & Michael
In the Spring of 2012, Little Woman Design was thrilled to be a part of a steampunk-themed styled shoot that was the brain-child of our good friends at BG Productions. BG owner Cat and Al only gave us the theme, and told Francesca to be as creative as she wanted to be...
The invitation suite married elements of the classic Victorian era with science fiction and other traditional steampunk elements.
Besides an invitation suite, Francesca also created custom-designed seating cards as hang-tags, as well as matching place cards.
Recently, the website Emmaline Bride released a new book entitled The Inspired Bride, and we were thrilled to find out that our invitation suite — as well as many other wonderful photos by BG Productions from that glorious day — was featured in it!
Thanks to Emmaline Bride for featuring our work in her book, and for BG Productions for allowing us to be a part of this creative and awesome day! To celebrate, we are offering a 10% discount on your total purchase in our Etsy Store. Use promo code Emma10. Offer good until 10/4/14.
Since first opening our doors in 2011, we've worked with so many fantastic couples who wanted Francesca to tell their story through design. Whether it be elements from their first date, the college they went to, their love of the beach, or their favorite holiday, all chose Little Woman Design for Francesca's unique take on wedding and event stationery. One couple who we're thinking about this month is Abby and William who married a year ago this coming October!
Abby & Will wanted an elegant Halloween themed invitation suite for their Merion Tribute House Wedding. They loved the look of foil-stamp printing — the metallic foil shining off the paper — and wanted the invitation suite featured in a monogram stamped pocketfold.
For their rehearsal dinner invitation, Little Woman Design tapped the talents of graphic artist Teddy Nguyen to capture the spirit of Halloween and the Black Cat. And, after their wedding invitation suite was such a hit with their family and friends, Abby enlisted Francesca to design a ceremony program printed on parchment paper which would be rolled up and tied together with a ribbon.
We had a blast working with Abby and William! If you would like to meet with Francesca for a consultation for custom-designed wedding stationery, give us a call at 267-481-4093 or email her at email@example.com.
Michele and Michael got married over this past Valentine's Day weekend 2014. When Michele asked her fabulous wedding planner at Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants for something unique to set the tone for her wedding stationery, planner Rebecca Richman sent this awesome bride our way! (Special thanks to Krista Patton Photography for sending us the beautiful photos of our work featured in this blog!)
Having seen Principal Designer Francesca Staffieri's custom illustrated save the dates, Michele asked us to create one for her and Michael but with a different twist: a three-paneled, perforated save the date in the style of the Valentines we used to send to each other in grade school. Francesca got to work on illustrating Michele and Michael's likenesses based upon photographs our beautiful bride sent.
With her save the dates out in the mail getting her guests excited for her big day, Francesca began working on the design system for Michele and Michael's wedding invitation suite and day-of stationery. Michele had requested an elegant, vintage look for her wedding invitation suite carrying the Valentine's theme throughout.
Francesca combined hearts with a gorgeous pattern to create a design that would set the tone for Michele & Michael's big day at The Curtis Center. Everything was beautifully digitally printed on metallic cardstock and mounted on a red backing. The envelopes were lined with the pattern used on the invitation suite.
For her day-of stationery, Francesca carried the design elements from their invitation suite throughout the ceremony program, seating cards, thank you cards, and the footers that printed for her guests' photobooth strips.
The seating cards were tied to small bottles of hot sauce...
We had a blast working with Michele & Michael this past year, and wish them all the best in their new life together! What better way to end this blog than a look at the Photobooth strip (also by Krista Patton Photography) featuring a special guest who dropped by to see the lucky couple: The Philly Phanatic!
